Worship of Keres - Bloodhounds For Oblivion (2016, self-released)
The plethora of new Doom metal acts has been falling like misery on poor people. Coming from California, this trio shows a promising debut album that is as interesting as Windhand's debut material with a strong penchant for classic acts like Candlemass, Witchfinder General, Pagan Altar, and Coven.
‘’Book 1’’ to
‘’3’’ are a nice example of how Worship
of Keres is tackling doom metal with a melodic angle and many riffs to
headbang and awesome old school solos. Here and there I could hear Crypt Sermon in their understanding of Candlemass’ music and the doom metal
genre.
This is a
promising EP and I hope to hear more music from Worship of Keres in a near future.
